Diary – Muddled

Thursday 12th August 2021

Before going to bed last night I spot the wonderful crescent shaped moon. The moon has a ghostly light across its face only to reveal a thin silver crescent…beautiful.

This morning I’m muddled. I open my blog page to write in today’s date. My brain is confused what month is it? February sprung into my mind, I then realise it is to warm for February. Another good think… July? I then double check my Dementia Clock…it’s August!

I now know it’s gonna be one of those muddled days!

I’m out later than usual for my walk, forgetting the dog lead on my way out to the car, which meant having to go back to the house.

At last I reach the Nature Reserve with a sigh as I view the calm open space.

The vast quiet space…not a noise, only my footsteps as they crunch the gravel underfoot.

Certainly very quiet today with nature and people.

Airspace looks busy with all the contrails, glad I’m on the ground!

After our very quiet walk I return home to sort myself out for shopping, Thursday is food shop day. Anything can happen when I’m muddled.

Didn’t do too bad…Mmm, well, we will just have to see when we start making the meals and half of the ingredients are missing!

I now make a menu for the week

1. I know what to shop for

2. I know what I’m cooking on what day

I also have a things to do list for every day of the week. All the day to day meals are written down on the correct days, a bit like a diary really. I also add in if I need to take anything out of the freezer the day before.

So when I come home from shopping it takes me a good while writing in all the meals for the week and what needs to come out the freezer, I’m used to this routine now and it does work quite well most of the time.

Here is an example below of what was on my list Tuesday, it’s just something that works for me and jogs my memory.

My blog is only a short one today as concentration is poor. The building work is seriously effecting me and my sidekick.

Build work now starts internally

Tomorrow will be a better day! 😊
